n244 is not an amendment to defence form - it is an application notice in the court of appeal - the link you provide goes to a particulars of claim form? Please explain?

Expert:  Ash replied 1 year ago.
It is N244, the link I gave you had the wrong form number:
http://hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n244-eng.pdf
Apologies for confusion!
Does that help?

Thank you appreciate it - where it says what order you are asking to make and why - I just say to give permission to change my defence?

Expert:  Ash replied 1 year ago.
Yes that is correct then in Box 10 on page 2 you need to say why you want to amend it.
Does that help?

perfect - the last thing - do I send this form to the claimant as well as the court or can I wait for the outcome before I send the form to the claimant?

Expert:  Ash replied 1 year ago.
You can wait the outcome unless the Claimant consents which I assume they dont!
