Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you with this.
It would be the High Court. You would use forms N1:
http://hmctsformfinder.justice.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/n001-eng.pdf
But for defamation it MUST be issued in the High Court.
Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

I was informed that I could use small, or county court by C.A.B.

what would be the costs as I am on pension credit, and don't have a money tree in the back garden !

Expert:  Ash replied 2 years ago.
No. Not for Defamation or Human Rights Act matters. Its £280 to issue a claim
Its only High Court.
Does that clarify?

Alex,

Thanks for the reply , my nearest court is Yeovil, do I have to have to have a barrister, solicitor or can I represent myself in the high court.

As of limited means can I get financial help with costs

i.e. a organisation that would help(pro bono), legal aid, or dispensation because of my low income. any advice you can offer would be very much appreciated

Expert:  Ash replied 2 years ago.
No you can represent yourself. You could try Bar Pro Bono:
http://www.barprobono.org.uk/
Does that help?
