I bought a flat in 1985 and took over the lease started in 1974. I understand that I should be shown three quotes for any work to be undertaken and have some say on who is chosen to do the work. I have been told this by two or three people - is this information correct?

Hello,
It depends on how much the work will cost.
It the work will exceed 250 pounds, then you must be consulted. It is normal for the freeholder/management company to obtain 2-3 quotes and send them to you for approval and you may nominate your own contractor.
