I am semi retired. Ill health retired from the police but now work on a caravan park which is open all year. I am 55 yrs old.

Workers aged 21 or over re entitled to the National Minimum Wage of £6.70 per hour. If you are only being paid £5 before tax then that is below the minimum wage and it is illegal. You can certainly challenge the employer over this. This is your basic legal position. where would I need to go now if I needed further advice as it is illegal. He pays me £640.00 every 8 weeks..and so far due to the hours I've worked over the summer owes me over £2200.00
