Resolved Question:

I Imported an` ancient antique sword` from china. Although its blunt, straight blade is only 42 cms, or 14 inches and legal, imported as an antique, it turned out to be a fake. I do like it , but have I inadvertically commited a crime. This sword is a brass alloy.

Thank you for your question.
As you thought the sword was genuine and an antique, you did not have the necessary intent to commit a crime. You have imported a sword which is not an antique but as you genuinely thought that it was real you could not be prosecuted.
I hope that helps.
