Hi, had a bankruptcy in 2009 and am wondering how this will effect my pensions. I can take a lump sum. But am worried that this will be all taken.

Hi,
Thank you for your question and welcome.
My name is ***** ***** I will assist you.
Have you been discharged from bankruptcy?
Was your pension included in your estate in bankruptcy? Did you give your trustee details of it?
Kind regards
AJ

No, I don`t think I gave any details and am not sure if I have been discharged. I havn`t had any notification or any correspondence. I did receive a letter from Lloyds, I think, saying the debt they sold had been reassigned back to them.

Hi, Thank you. Normally bankruptcy only lasts one year. Do you know who your trustee is? Did you make any contributions to the pension that might be deemed excessive? Kind regards AJ
