I have got some freelancers and am running a limited company

Customer Question

hi I have got some freelancers and am running a limited company (start up in the second year), do you need contracts for them? I heard, that yes, as HRMC has changed the requirements, but I wanted to get a second opinion please

1) one freelancer is in charge of marketing services (providing marketing material, securing sponsors), he works for 6 hours once a week. 2) the other freelancer works for 4 hours once a week and provides office management services, as well as simple bookkeeping tasks and chasing payments. 3) one student who is with us as an intern (enrolled at uni) for 18 hours per week, 6 from home and 12 from the office (I pay 70 pounds per months) thanks

It is a good practice to have service agreements drawn between parties to clarify nature of service, basis of fees and responsibilities of individual parties. This also clarifies relationship between the parties i.e. self employed or employed.I hope this is helpful and answers your question. If you have any other questions, please ask me before you rate my service – I’ll be happy to respond.
