1. Yes, the legal costs involved in changing the names on the land registry of a property would be tax deductible should Capital Gains Tax become payable on a sale of the property subsequently. However, the legal costs would not be deductible from an Income TAx point of view unless you were in the business of property management and this was one of the properties you were managing.
