Customer Question

I have recently discovered that the local papers have written an article about me - http://www.eastgrinsteadcourier.co.uk/East-Grinstead-man-arrested-motoring-offences/story-28441592-detail/story.html
I have just finished university and have anxiety and depression which I take medication for and this has made me feel worse I accept what I have done is wrong but I am already paying the price with my licence, however whoever wrote the article has been misinformed as I did actually have a driving licence at the time.
Could a case be made for the paper to be sued or be forced to retract this false statement? It has put shame on my family and I don't know what to do
Kind regards,
