Dna... Sorry!! Is it legal with out my pomission??

Hi, thanks for your question.
If your son is under 16 years old and as you have parental responsibility for him, he will need your consent to undertake a DNA test.
Please let me know if you have any further questions regarding this.

Even if it's a home dna test?? Can I prosecute??
Expert:  Harris replied 1 year ago.
I think for him to obtain an over the counter testing kit, he will need to provide the chemist with proof of ID for both of you, and for both of you to sign a consent form.
If he obtains it without your consent this would be a criminal offence.

He got it off amazon that's how I found out what he had done, sent it to a lab and was emailed the the results!!! He would still need my consent for that??

Thank you for the further information - unfortunately as it has now happened you cannot change this. However, as it is a criminal offence to do it without your consent (as you also have parental responsibility) then it is a police matter.
