A friend a Thai national may be persuaded to enter a sham marriage to an Omani national for passport and visa reasons ?! Obviously immigration fraud ! What are the possible consequenses of this crime ?

Accordingly, your Thai national friend could end up in jail for this type of deception. The range of sentences range from zero up to seven years. However, a custodial sentence is almost always given.
