Is it illegal to post photos of a defendant on the internet before a trial. And also someone has posted part of my defence. Many thanks.

Hello, I am a solicitor with 20 years experience. I will try to answer this for you. It is not illegal to publish a general photograph but if he photo is evidence from the case then this could be illegal. In terms of your defence, what has been put out there?

Part of our argument. It's a vigilante case and he is the vigilante.

Do you have a solicitor?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
yes, but TBH they are very slow.

I was going to ring the CPS today about it.

They need to know about this If there is any question of a contempt of court or attempt to meddle with justice the court can carry out enforcement steps. If your solicitor is slow ask about their complaints procedure and you will probably get some action. Do not speak directly to the CPS yourself. No good will come from that.
