How long has your mother been the sole owner of the property?

Could be let out but family are
Not happy to do it as it needs quite a lot of repairs. She had been living there for nearly 70 years

In that case I am afraid there really is no other option

Or rather the other options are

1. Pay for the home yourselves as a family

2. Care for your mother yourselves

3. Do the property up and let it and use the income to pay the fees

I am sorry - I do know how hard these choices are

Please ask if you need further details
