I ask for s quite in a pane of glass but when a man came

Customer Question

I ask for s quite in a pane of glass but when a man came from the company to have a look he bombarded me with alsorts of things that could be wrong with the window ie it need ripping out and doing again
I felt forced to go with what he was saying but later that day my partner returned home to explain the levels with the window were accurate and we just needed a pane of glass.
My boyfriend the next day within 24 hours cancelled the glass pane.
The receptionist had nothing written in book so she said that she couldn't see anything?
So we thought that was that.
I had not signed snything or recieved a quote via mail.
We have been recieved red letters saying action is to be taken.
I have spoken to a guy who said he was the manager saying he was unaware of any of this and would look into it.
But today I've had a call from receptionist saying I'm going to be taken to county court.
Please tell me my rights please.

Was it on site or your property the deal was agreed?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
at my home he said I will order it
At that time I agreed
but then realised I did not need it
I let them know in under 24 hours
They said they had nothing written down anyway
It was like he was never there
But they rang me on withheld number saying I had to pay

Ok - by law they have to give you a 14 day cooling off period.

In law they must give you this period - if you do not then you can cancel at ANY TIME.

So to be clear by law you can cancel.

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?
