A couple took items from my late father's house, on trust,

Resolved Question:

A couple took items from my late father's house, on trust, to sell on behalf of myself and my brothers. We expected to receive payment for the items sold, minus their commission. 18 months later on money has been received and they tell me that the items sold will not cover their expenses so no money is due to us. Is this legal?

If they are telling the truth but I would question why they did not tell you this before selling them so you could have had the chance to keep the goods. I would ask for evidence such as sale receipts and what are these sale expenses?

Best regards

Michael
