I am going to court on the 27th September for common assault

Resolved Question:

Hi,
I am going to court on the 27th September for common assault but unfortunately I cannot remember anything from what happened. It's the 2nd time I have been to court and I got a fine the 1st time I was there which was last year.
If I was to plead guilty for common assault do you know typically what could happen to me this round time? I am a bit worried as it's my 2nd time seeing them.

Hello my name is ***** ***** I will help you.

What were the injuries and nature please?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I saw photo evidence they showed me and it was just some bruising on the face I believe, I can't remember anything from the night I was assaulted at the beginning of the evening in a nightclub so I can only assume it was the same people, I got arrested as I was caught on CCTV but I don't remember anything at all. The 2 persons I was arrested in connection for assaulting aren't pressing charges but it's just from the evidence they provided to the police.

You said you have previous, i that for assault too?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Yeah last year, this was an incident with a bouncer, apparently I had pushed the bouncer but I pleaded not guilty for that one because I didn't push them
Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I received a £900 fine
Expert:  Ash replied 4 months ago.

Ok - this time you will probably get a Community Order.

If its just bruising and you plead guilty. They may make you take an anger management or some other course

Can I clarify anything for you about this today please?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
What's a community order?
Expert:  Ash replied 4 months ago.

With Probation.......
Does that help?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
Ok is there anyway around me not getting a community order?
Expert:  Ash replied 4 months ago.

Sadly not. Its your second offence and in drink

I am sorry. Does that clarify?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
It does, what do I expect from a community order though? Like how many hours exactly and everything?
Expert:  Ash replied 4 months ago.

It really depends on the Court. It may be 100 or so. You have to do it over a year.

Does that clarify?
