Customer Question

I was flashed by a speed camera on the 6/9/16 and the innitial letter from surrey police was sent to the vehicle owners and then sent to the employment agency who I work for, I then received the NIP from Surrey police on the 12/10/16. On the top of the NIP they have a date of 7/10/16 which is over a month from the offence. Can I challenge this as they have 14 days to serve the NIP.
Many thanks

But surely the original NIP was in time as it went to the registered keeper?

It went to the registered keeper on time but I the driver did not receive it within the 14 days, in fact a month. thx

In that case, it matters not I'm afraid.

When the NIP reaches the actual driver is a non issue.

The only requirement is that the first NIP is either done verbally at the roadside or despatched to the registered keeper within 14 days of the incident.

Can I clarify anything for you?
