A few weeks ago I had a telephone call from a insurance company called Appliance serve, wanting me to take out insurance with them for my television and other appliances.I told them I already had insurance on my household appliances, but they kept on they could do it cheaper, as I was on the phone for a while my husband who has Alzheimers was getting agitated as I was on the phone so long. So I said I would have the ins. but I only pay monthly Direct debit.They wanted me to pay it quarterly I told them no only monthly. I gave them my bank details I received a letter off them which I thought was just junk mail and put it to one side.Later I had a letter off them asking for a payment of £30 I phoned them and told them I had said I only pay monthly as I am a pensioner , they said no they only do quarterly.So I said to cancel the ins. they told me I couldn't cancel as I had left it too late. I told them on their letter they could cancel it but they would charge a fee, so I said I would pay a cancellation fee.But to which they replied no you can not cancel it just like that. Since then I had a letter demanding the full year payment, I ignored this, now they have sent me a letter asking for my payment of £30. if I did not pay it they would want full payment plus extra charges.please could you tell me what to do next, I have put this question to you once before but did not get a reply. mrs Jacqueline coombes
