Customer Question

In 2007 I entered into a joint remortgage with my now ex husband he is now demanding £50000 to remove his name from the mortgage
The option he has given me are information you are having difficulty in paying the mortgage I am happy to take responsibility of the property and live in the property allowing you o find somewhere else to live pervert the conditions would be joint ownership would cease zenith no payement to you once all mortgage arrears have. Even cleared
Make a lump sum of ££50k to me which is more than fair to me and the property becomes solely yours again arrears must be paid of
As Rebecca is approaching 18 it has been bright to my attention that I could now insist the joint property e solid and the proceeds of any can be jointly shared
Pleaase can you advise

So why is he asking for £50,000?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
He had legal advice who say that he's entitled to £2 k a year for each year we were together which he says is 25 years
