My 14 year old step granddaughter has been charged with

Customer Question

My 14 year old step granddaughter has been charged with actual bodily harm for attacking her mother about 6 weeks ago.she has been in care since and her social worker and carer went with her to the police station yesterday when she was charged. They allowed her to plead not guilty so it now goes to court on the 15th November. If she's found guilty (which she surely will be because the police have the records of the 999 call etc) what would the possible punishment be? Also her mother told the police she didn't want to press charges but the cps appear to have gone against her wishes.
