I have been banned from driving until next week just found

Customer Question

I have been banned from driving until next week just found out that I have to resist my driving test otherwise I won't be able to drive
My driving licence is an exchange driving licence it is not an uk licence and I can easily go back to my country and get my licence back anytime , the question that I have is if would be ok for me to drive on my original licence or I still have to pass the test.
Thank you

No, you will have to take the test to drive in the UK.

You are banned from driving in the UK until you have passed.

Whether you have a valid licence from other jurisdiction is a non issue. You remain banned.

I'm sorry if that is bad news.

Can I clarify anything for you?

That is fair enough but what if the person that needs to pass the test does not speak any English whatsoever

What it says on the dvla site is that I am banned until next week is doesn't say that unti pass

Are you still there

If the court order was to take an extended test then it doesn't matter what the DVLA say or not.

Not speaking English is no defence I'm afraid.
