Customer Question

Are administration charges under the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 the same as legal costs?
I am currently in breach of my lease due to non payment of ground rent and admin charges. The charges are £650 and legal fees are £3100 this is under a forfeiture notice.
If I pay the ground rent and admin charges will the kill this action off?

Just to add I can't see a S146 notice in the bundle. We have a letter of legal action but not mention of S146.

My lease states:Costs23.2 to pay all costs charges and expenses incurred by the Landlord (including legal costs and fees payable to a surveyor and any VAT) in contemplation of any 146 or 147

Do you accept that you owe the £650? Why didn’t you pay it?

Why don’t you think you should be obliged to pay the legal costs? Because the letter before action doesn’t mention a 146 notice?

I’m not certain what the problem is here. Thank you
