I have home emergency insurance cover. Called on 15th

Customer Question

I have home emergency insurance cover. Called ***** ***** on 15th October to report I had no hot water or central heating as boiler was causing trip switch to go. To date, I still have neither. CET who are JL's reps have called out engineers and electricians, but the service I have received from CET has been so poor that I have made formal complaints to JL and CET. My policy lapsed on 29th October ( am now with another insurer). On Saturday 4th Nov, CET informed me they had been advised by engineers that it us no longer economically viable to replace any further parts. This was not what I had been told the previous day by the engineers.
I feel I have been abandoned with no water or central heating.
Where do I legally stand?
