Hi, and welcome to JustAnswer! My name is Michelle and I am excited to get started with you.So I can provide you with the best answer, I will need additional information. What would you like to know about your iPad?
cant figure out if it's possible to transfer word documents and pictures to an apple I pad? get a lot of different answers
Yes it is. Do you have a mac? Where these photos taken on the iPad?
no I have an hp laptop
Are you using the pages app to type your word documents
I mean the documents I have already got on my hp laptop, downloaded a programme called I cloud and dropbox but doesn't seem to work, some people say Microsoft and apple are just not comparable
You will need to have the pages app downloaded on your iPad first to open word documents. The pages app is $9.99 from the App store. A free alternative is to convert your word documents into a PDF document first which will then open up in iBooks which is a free App
alright cos have the free verson app on my I pad what is ibooks? is this the same way I should transfer pics onto I pad?
Yes, you will need to transfer pictures to your iPad using iTunes. Do you currently have itunes installed on your computer?
Oh and by the way, another free app your can use for your MS word documents is CloudOn. It works with Dropbox and google drive accounts. Try both options to see which one works best for you
okay thank you I belive I signed up for 7 days so I believe I can contact you again if I need further help?
Of course you can. You can respond to our chat after rating or you can reach me directly
http://www.justanswer.com/computer/expert-michelleblack/. Were you able to open itunes on your computer so you can transfer your photos?
think I've got I tunes installed but looks like ive only got part installed that plays and transfers music
No that is it. When you connect your iPad to your computer, your will see your ipad in the left column under devices. When you click on your ipad, you will see a series of options at the top menu bar. Click on the photo tab
no I think st is wrong it keeps saying this is not default player for audio files and then it says do I want to go to default programmes panel to fix that but when I say yes nothing happens?
Ok, exit itunes and then re-open it. When it ask about the default player, choose yes
yes I can see I pad in devices but when I go back to I tune and click on library and doesn't have any option saying photo
As mentioned earlier, you will need to click on your ipad so you can see the other options.
Click on your iPad. What do you see now?
done that then it just open up on the music page on shows some "demo" songs but still no photos in options
Does your itunes look like this?
ah you mean open I tunes on I pad too of course - by the way while you've helped me managed to transfer word docs to I cloud and it works can edit ect brilliant!
Yay! Check that one of the list. Ha ha im sorry I was not so clear. Yes open itunes on your computer
You do not need to open itunes on your iPad, just on your computer. When you choose your ipad under devices, your screen should look like the one I sent you
Hmm strange. Can you your explain to me what you see in itunes after you have clicked on your ipad under devices in the left column?
