Viet - Mac Tech :

Hello! Thank you for your question. I will be assisting you today.

Viet - Mac Tech :

I'm sorry about the issue. Do you mean the 4-digit passcode? Do you also have a windows or mac computer? Do you have the iTunes program installed / working on your computer? Please let me know. Thank you,

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

yes. the 4 digit code. windows. and yes i have itunes

Viet - Mac Tech :

In this case, we need to reset the iPhone and start setup over

Viet - Mac Tech :

Let me provide you the steps:

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

will this remove everything on my iphone..?

Viet - Mac Tech :

Yes, did you have backup, i.e., backup in iTunes or iCloud?

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

i have icloud but it says not everything was stored on there...

Viet - Mac Tech :

That's correct; what else do you need? But unfortunately, for privacy/security purpose, data cannot be recovered without correct password.

Viet - Mac Tech :

i.e., if your iphone is stolent

Viet - Mac Tech :

no one can get your data without the password

Viet - Mac Tech :

*stolen

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

is there no other way to get on the phone without resetting it..

Viet - Mac Tech :

no, unfortunately, like I said previously, this is to protect your data in case your iPhone is stolen, for example.

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

okay, so how do i reset it

Viet - Mac Tech :
  • Press & hold the power button on the iPhone until it lets you slide to turn off, then turn off.
  • Connect the iPhone to your computer with the USB Cable.
  • Open iTunes program on your computer (make sure you iTunes program is up to date.)
  • On the iPhone, press and hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
  • After about 10 seconds release the Power button, but continue holding the Home button until the iTunes program shows that it has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
  • Click OK or Restore.
JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

it wont let me turn my phone off.. i slid the red bar across but the screen still says disabled for 48 mins...

Viet - Mac Tech :

Sorry, press & hold the power button for about 10 seconds for it to power off

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

JACUSTOMER-vrqik7z9- :

Viet - Mac Tech :

Please let me know how it goes any time. And/of if you'd like to, I can connect to your computer and reset your iPhone directly for you using the iTunes program on your computer. Thank you,
