A few weeks ago i pad athough apparently connected to my home

Resolved Question:

A few weeks ago i pad athough apparently connected to my home hub system- a tick appears by it in settings- won't receive e mails and comes up with ''cannot get mail no internet connection''. it works perfectly well when connected somewhere else and my laptop here on my connection works perfectly well

Can you tap Safari icon on your iPad and try to open www.google.com

Tell me if it lets you open it?

No it says it cannot open the page because not connected

Okay. Can you tap Settings -> Wi-Fi

And tell me whether it shows your network under CHOOSE A NETWORK OR Above it?

Customer:

Done shows BTHomehub2-JZ4K and a blue tick to the left of it

Okay. Can you Tap Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings

Then go back to Settings after the Reset and connect to BTHomehub2-JZ4K

Customer:

It asks me to put in a password- is this mu email address or the password XXXXX goes with it ?

It is the password XXXXX the BTHomehub2-JZ4K which you can get by looking at the back of the router. It should say wireless key

yes I am on my laptop

Enter it on the iPad exactly as it is shown taking care of the capital letters

I have put the password XXXXX and it comes back as unable to join this network asks me to dismiss

That means, the password XXXXX XXXXX incorrect or not typed in correctly.

Can you see wireless signals icon to the left side of your computer besides the clock?

I have just corrected it & put in the password XXXXX the yahoo a/c & it appears to be connected-- shall i now try e mails ?
