Hello! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed computer professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.
I'm sorry about the issue. What's the model of your iMac?
Please try each of the followings if available and until it ejects:
1. press the Eject button on the keyboard
2. open iTunes program, then click on Control option on the top, then click on Eject Disc
3. Shut down the computer and then start it back up while holding down the mouse button. This may take some time, but keep your finger on the mouse button right up until the disc comes out or the log-in screen has appeared.
4. If your computer has an eject button on the keyboard, restart the computer holding down the Option key. When the startup disk selection screen appears, let go of the option key and press the keyboard's eject button.
Still no joy!
Sorry. Did you try steps 3 and 4 also?
All of the above.
Sorry, it looks like the disk is really stuck. Please watch a video at the website below to manually eject the disk:
By the way, are you chatting with me on the same computer or another computer?
How is it going?
I have tried everything and it has still not worked.
Sorry, even from the video?
So you watched some videos at that website, but still could not get it out.
Multiple videos and different techniques but no joy.
I'm sorry, it looks like it is really stuck; it's a hardware issue, you would have to dissemble the iMac computer in order to get it out.
well, this is complicated
I think I will just give up and go and buy an external drive.
You can have the Apple store helps getting it out as it's stuck inside. Or yes, use an Apple Superdrive
Apple Superdrive external drive, it's a cheaper option
I will do thanks for your time.
I'm sorry, I've tried all my possible solutions
