Hello Bill! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed computer / tablet professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.

I'm sorry about the issue. Did he forget his passcode/password XXXXX log in his iPad tablet?

Do you also have a windows or mac computer? And do you have the iTunes program installed / working on your computer?

Please reply at the box below. Thank you,

Hi Viet

My sons ipad has a password, but not sure what has went on,it says ipad disabled connect to itunes, when i connect it to itunes on my laptop (windows) it tells me that i need to enter the password, but i cant because the screen only displays"ipad is disabled, connect to itunes"

You're welcome. Please press and hold both the Power (On / Off) button and the Home button (which is located right below the screen) together for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears, then wait a bit, then check.

If that does not work, please try:

  • Press & hold the power button on the iPad until it lets you slide to turn off, then turn off.
  • Connect the iPad to your computer with the USB Cable.
  • Open iTunes program on your computer (make sure you iTunes program is up to date.)
  • On the iPad, press and hold the Home button and the Power button at the same time.
  • After about 10 seconds release the Power button, but continue holding the Home button until the iTunes program shows that it has detected an iPad in recovery mode.
  • Click OK or Restore.
