To clarify, you cannot turn on the iPad?

Or you can turn it on but cannot unlock the screen to use it?

Thank you

I can turn on the iPad but cannot unlock it
I would like to be able to unlock and use the iPad
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
Thanks Charles

You will have to reset the iPad, there is no other way to remove this.

To do the reset

Connect the iPad to the computer and open itunes

Hold the power and home button down until you see

"iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode..."

Click Restore iPad, let this complete and it will then remove the lock and return the iPad to new.

Let me know the results please

Thank you

Thanks for your patience,as I said earlier that I've downloaded iTunes and followed your instructions but iTunes does not detect the recovery mode. All that happens is that iTunes is appearing on the iPad with a padlock sign
Expert:  Richard replied 2 years ago.
so you connected the iPAd to the computer.

Then on the iPad

Held the power and home button down until you see

"iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode..."

in iTunes?

It will work, but I believe you might have got that step wrong Charles?
