I can send emails on my ipad but cannot receive them. Please help

Can you please hold the power and home button on the iPad for about 10 seconds until the apple logo appears, then release the buttons.
Let the iPad restart and then try to receive emails.

Tried that twice, still cannot receive emails. The ipad is trying to load but failing, last successful loading 19/3/2015

We will re-add the email account
Can you go to Settings, Mail and press on the mail account then press Delete Account
Then repeat the initial procedure we did to restart the iPad
Go to settings, Mail and add the email account again and it should now start receiving.
