Customer Question

Years ago I bought an I pod and I entered a n ID as well as I set of security questions in case I needed to recover my ID. Recently I bought an I Pad tried to use what I though was the Id but not only it did not work but even the answers to basic questions e.g. "my birth date" was not the same as the Apple records. I am absolutely certain that I originally provided the correct date as I had cause to used it and it worked the. Since then I have tried to set up various IDs and passwords which always failed because I SUCCEDED to confuse myself.
Is it possible to delete somehow all previous settings and start afresh with an ID as per my e-mail address "*****@******.***" and then I shall input my chosen password? Or is there another way?
Thanks

Hello Photis,
Sorry to hear about your issue..:(
Have you tried resetting the password ***** the email authentication? It would send an email to that email address (which is your apple ID) and you should be able to reset using that.
If that does not work, I am afraid you need to contact the itunes store via email.
Go to the following website
www.apple.com/support/itunes
There, click on "contact support" to the bottom left and then click on "contact itunes store support".
Fill in all the info and send the email. Please be patient as it might take a maximum of 24 hours for them to respond. They might ask you for a few details using which they would reset the password ***** you.
I am not sure whether they have a phone support right now for itunes store, but you may give that a try as well. You can find the telephone number from this website
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201232
Hope this helps. Let me know if you find any difficulty.
Thank You
Vinod
