I bought my type + for iPad Air 2 from Best Buy in June. It will not hold a charge and does not work at all. I took it back to Best Buy and they said it is not their problem. What can I do?

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Best Buy, unfortunately, is correct enough - after about 4 or 5 months, it is almost certain that their return-exchange period has run out.

However, the manufacturer's warranty is almost certainly 1 year... or perhaps more. (It's an amazing comment on the quality of Apple products that I somehow, in years of dealing with them, have never once had to look up the warranty coverage period on an Apple product. Which is why I don't know just how long it is. But industry standard is 1 year from purchase date, of warranty coverage, and Apple is nothing if not industry standard.)

I advise you to contact Apple Corp. about it, and see about getting it fixed under warranty, for free.
