I advise you - if you haven't proceeded this way before - to uninstall the Tor browser.
Then when that is done, restart the computer.
Then when the computer is restarted, you can reinstall the Tor browser again, from a fresh download, and a download appropriate for MAC OS X 10.13.
Try that and tell me if it affects things.
Does your internet work OK? fast enough, no pauses, that sort of thing?
And, do you have a good anti-virus suite on your computer?
Is your computer a Windows PC, please?

If Firefox is installed then uninstall both Tor and Firefox, then reboot the computer and reinstall Tor first and let me know the result.
