HI, Thanks for your question. My name isXXXXX and I am here to help you today with your question. I will be happy to assist you with your follow up questions also.
I am so sorry to hear about your illness. I am going to address your primary concern but you can ask anything you want later.
Yes i agree with your doctor that you are too young to have this.
They were suspecting TIA or migraine.
One thing is for sure that numbness in arm is not a feature of migraine.
So possibility of TIA should have been ruled out by Brain CT scan or MRI at that time.
Your neck ultrasound for carotid vessels should have been done.
As your attack has recurred again.
I suggest that you should go to ER again and should ask them for Ct scan of brain with cervical spine.
This will rule out any brain problem and cervical spine disc problem. Both of them can cause symptoms like you had.
Later you should ask them for carotid doppler studies.
because without these investigations, you symptoms cannot just labeled to be migraine related.
I hope this helps you.
do you think this is tia then dont want to be fobbed off again but think its strange its happened again will this continue if its isnt treated????
i also have a swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck the same side as the numbness could this be to do with the same thing or is this something seperate
