Hello,
Thanks for your question.
What medications you are taking currently?
How long you have these symptoms?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

none right now. swollen tyroid for a long time, water in the lungs about 5days now doctors are trying to dry water out of the lung ,they will be using a tube injection they say will not do it

Expert:  Dr Basu replied 4 years ago.
Water in the lungs or pleural effusion is caused by the bacterial infection commonly.
Heart failure is another possibility.
Rarely, this can be a sign of cancer.
The water should be tested for any cancer.
The water can be drained by placement of tube.
Antibiotic course can be considered.
The swollen thyroid or goiter is not a problem if you do not have any difficulty in swallowing or breathing.
Also serum TSH level should be checked.
If elevated then Levothyroxine should be prescribed to shrink the gland.
The stomach infection also will respond to antibiotic if bacterial.
H pylori is a bacterial infection and treated with antibiotics.

Best wishes,

Can be moderately serious since you developed water in the lungs.
But this is treatable with antibiotics.
