I have a tooth that has been root canalled and heavily filled,

Customer Question

I have a tooth that has been root canalled and heavily filled, about 4 months ago the last bit of real tooth fell off. So the tooth now is all filling with a gap at the back, it does not hurt and my dentist filled it but the filling fell away after a couple of weeks. My dentist now says the only option is to remove it and either have a bridge or an implant. Is this the only option? Is worth going to another dentist for a second option and if so where? I am in Salisbury Wiltshire.
