Mysticdoc :

Hello,

Mysticdoc :

Thanks for your question.

Mysticdoc :

Slight elevation in platelet count can be caused by the stress.

Mysticdoc :

Also any inflammation in the body can cause this change.

Mysticdoc :

Anemia is another possibility.

Mysticdoc :

Just raised platelets without any other change in white cell count or red cell count, is not concerning.

Mysticdoc :

This does not suggest cancer or anything serious.

Mysticdoc :

Repeat blood test should be performed to confirm your platelet count.

Mysticdoc :

Besides, dehydration is another common cause of raised platelet count.

Mysticdoc :

This does not sound concerning.
