JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

i wanted to kno if i could have advise on mental conditions such as anxiety

Doctor Cameron :

sure

Doctor Cameron :

what questions do you have?

JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

i get major anxiety attacks sometimes to the point that it feels as if im seriously unwell how do beat this and how can i tell when its anxiety and when its serious

Doctor Cameron :

Well, anxiety is never life threatening

Doctor Cameron :

So you can concentrate on that

Doctor Cameron :

but the important thing is to work on things which help reduce stress

Doctor Cameron :

as well as what to do when you have an anxiety attack

Doctor Cameron :

meditation, yoga, exercise help reduce stress

Doctor Cameron :

Don't drink caffeine

Doctor Cameron :

In terms of what to do when you have an anxiety attack

Doctor Cameron :

you can do certain breathing exercises

Doctor Cameron :

http://www.livestrong.com/article/18814-yoga-breathing-exercises-anxiety/

Doctor Cameron :

But the most important thing to remember is no matter how bad your attack is,

Doctor Cameron :

YOU WILL SURVIVE IT

Doctor Cameron :

IT IS NOT LIFE THREATENING

Doctor Cameron :

IT IS NOT DANGEROUS

JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

but with the symptoms the attacks have how cn i tell whether its just an attack or if im seriously unwellas i have other physical health conditions also i am quite likely to become uwell cos of those

Doctor Cameron :

what other conditions do you have?

JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

so for example if havin difficultly breathing for example i can sometimes not tell if its an attack or is it renal related i have renal failure and spinal bifida and hydro capholus

JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

and depression and anxiety

Doctor Cameron :

why do you have renal failure?

JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

not a clue i was born with both working then one failed the othersomehow just shrunk

Doctor Cameron :

ok

Doctor Cameron :

well, for one, you should do the things to prevent attacks

Doctor Cameron :

that will help

Doctor Cameron :

and secondly, if you do have an attack, try the breathing techniques

Doctor Cameron :

if this is an anxiety attack, you will feel yourself getting better

Doctor Cameron :

if you are truly ill, then you will not get better and you may get worse

Doctor Cameron :

did you see what I wrote?

JACUSTOMER-io3ka3bx- :

yes i did im not sure i fully understand tho as i have tried so many tequnics and breathing and nothing its like im living prisoned inside my own fear with voice 24 7 sayin something bad will happen to you

well, as I mentioned before, things which are going to be dangerous do not get better with breathing exercises. I would take a look at the ones I gave you- they are good
Otherwise, you can take medication like ativan, valium, buspar and trazadone - this will help
