Dr. P Jyoti :

hello would you like to chat on this?

Dr. P Jyoti :

Hello,

I was trying to chat with you on this.

The S1 nerve deviation or impingement would cause:

Weakness of the Gastronemius muscle in the calf, leading to difficulty in pushing off with the foot

Numbness in the outside of the foot

Weakness of the ankle jerk reflex seen clinically.

So, weakness in pushing off with the foot and numbness on the outside of the foot are the two signs that are seen with S1 nerve deviation.

Hope that satisfies your query. If so, please choose a positive rating.

If you have any other queries, do ask. Wish you good health and a quick recovery. Bonus is always welcome!

Thank you.
