Customer Question

Okay so I started having this issue around a month and a half ago and I really do not want to go and see a doctor.

I have a bump between my scrotum and my asscheek as shown in the following pictures and it bleeds every now and then.

I have tried to use cipmox (antibiotic) to try and get rid of it if it is a infection but it has not gone. I use plasters at the moment with antiseptic and guage fabric to ensure the blood does not go into my trousers and underwear. I change this daily to ensure there is no infection but I really do not know what to do.

I would really appreciate your help.

Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

let me look at that photo.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Thanks

Dr. David :

this could like it could be an abscess or an anal fissure.

Dr. David :

you really need to see a surgeon to get an ultrasound of the area.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

I was thinking that

Dr. David :

you might need a surgeon to cut into it and drain the fluid out.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Is there anything I can take to solve it?

Dr. David :

not orally.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Its not actually in the anus though

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Its literally on the cheek nowhere near

Dr. David :

you have already used antibiotics.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Was it the right antibiotic though?

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

I used cipmox which is from another country

Dr. David :

yes, cipro is a strong antibiotic.

Dr. David :

if cipro don't do it, you need to see a surgeon to cut into it and drain it.

Dr. David :

that might be the only way it will heal.

Dr. David :

I know you don't want to see a doctor, but you really have to.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

What is the worst case scenario?

Dr. David :

could be an abscess or infection deeper below.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

So I should go to the doctors asap basically?

Dr. David :

yes,

Dr. David :

best to see a doctor soon.

Dr. David :

need to get it evaluated.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

If I leave it for a little while I take it it will get worse?

Dr. David :

it very well could get worse

Dr. David :

or the infection could spread to the blood.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

What would happen then?

Dr. David :

then you would need to go into the hospital.

Dr. David :

for IV antibiotics.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

wow.. how did this happen though? I cannot get my head around it

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

How does something like this just form??

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

I haven't done anything out of the ordinary

Dr. David :

sometimes a hair follcile can get infected

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Infected how though, public toilet? :s

Dr. David :

through the skin.

Dr. David :

or this could be a pilonidal cyst.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

I mean where does it come from, I am a clean person so I don't understand how it can get infected in the first place

Dr. David :

could be an infection

Dr. David :

or a subcutaneous cyst.

Dr. David :

needs ultrasound for evaluation.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

These are worst case though I take it ?

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Hopefully I can go to the doctor and he should be able to recommend something to sort it?

Dr. David :

yes,

Dr. David :

your doctor might recommend to incise the area to drain it for it to eventually heal.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Is that something that can be done at the doctors?

Dr. David :

yes, the doctor can usually take care of it.

Dr. David :

you might have to see a surgeon to incise into it.

Dr. David :

it looks like a bleeding boil.

Dr. David :

which would also might need to be incised.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

So you think the most likely thing that will happen if I go doctors is that they will cut it slightly and drain it then let it heal?

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

So you think the most likely thing that will happen if I go doctors is that they will cut it slightly and drain it then let it heal?

Dr. David :

they might do that.

Dr. David :

or do an ultrasound of the area to see how deep it goes.

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

This is all stuff that can be done at the doctors?

Dr. David :

they might culture the area to check what specific infection is there.

Dr. David :

yes, the doctors office can take care of it.

Dr. David :

do you have a GP doctor you can see?

JACUSTOMER-5fncbwj3- :

Yes I have a GP and am going to see him tomorrow

Dr. David :

good

Dr. David :

good luck to you.
