I have pins and needles in my right arm and hand and intermittent

Customer Question

I have pins and needles in my right arm and hand and intermittent 'warm' sensation in the front of my right leg. When I look down I also have a 'twang' of pins and needles across my abdomen. I suspect a pinched nerve in my neck - but I have no neck pain or stiffness. Any suggestions?

Hello from JA
A pinched nerve in the neck would not cause pain lower down like this.
Extensive spine disease would have to be involved ...do you have extensive spine disease?

No

OK
And what type of doctor do you have that has examined this
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Haven't seen a dr yet - trying to work out if I would be time wasting to go
Btw, I take Citalopram and also asthma inhalers in case that's useful to you

Why the citalopram?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.
Clinical depression and anxiety. Currently well controlled on 30mg daily

OK
So see a physical medicine and rehabilitation MD.
This will indicate on exam if there are spinal disc problems, as well as if there is fibromyalgia, these often go together along with depression and other problems.
There are better medications in this case.
Cymbalta, savella, or lyrica.

But first you need the exam.
