Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

you can start the new packet of pills within the first 5 days after you period ends.

Dr. David :

or within 5 days of the start of your your period

JACUSTOMER-muff7o3c- :

I will finish this 'messed up' packet tomorrow. Should I wait for the 7 placebo days to pays before starting the new packet?

Dr. David :

yes, you can wait for the 7 days of placebo days to pass before starting your new packet.

Dr. David :

does this help?

Dr. David :

do you have other questions?

Dr. David :

you are not getting any hormones with those placebo pills so it is up to you if you take them or not.

Dr. David :

some women take them to keep up the habit of taking a pill everydayl

Dr. David :

so they don't mess up the routine.

Dr. David :

some women can remember when to go back on the packet when they stop the placebo pills.

JACUSTOMER-muff7o3c- :

yes one more question, how long it take for the new packet to offer full protection against pregnancy, as I realise the current packet does not offer me protection at the moment due to two missed pills/

Dr. David :

if you start taking them within 5 days of the start of your next period, they start to protect you against pregnancy right away.

Dr. David :

if you start them up at another time, they will take 7 days before they start to protect against pregnancy.

JACUSTOMER-muff7o3c- :

ok that's very helpful. Thank you

Dr. David :

you are welcome

Dr. David :

best of luck to you
