Hello from JA

I am Dr. Thomas, double board certified doctor, and I will help you with this and any follow up questions.

Clearly this needs an exam.
For one thing, you can not assume there is no fracture.
You might need an x ray.

For another thing, a sprain, if severe enough can cause long term problems if not managed correctly.

See an orthopedic doctor if you can.

Make sure you don't have a stress fracture...these can act unlike other fractures.

I also need to point out, from a medical standpoint, that getting drunk to the point of falling is an indication of a potential problem with alcohol. Long term, this can be very deadly, so this needs to be considered.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Well im a bit of a lightweight and dont normally drink so I dont have a problem!! What form of treatment will the doctor give me

OK
If the x ray shows a fracture, most likely a cast.
IF the sprain is very severe, a short period of splinting or boot, otherwise simply support, and maybe some physiotherapy.

Also anti inflammatory medicine.

Right now:
Stay off it
Elevate the leg
Use ice
Use an ace bandage.
Don't stress it.
