Dr Peter Bush :

Hi Thank you for your question. Do you suffer from any medical conditions or are you on any medication at present?

Dr Peter Bush :

Right ok. How long have you felt the burning sensation

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

for a few weeks

Dr Peter Bush :

And how long have you noticed, that wounds are taking a long time to heal?

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

about a year

Dr Peter Bush :

Have you been to see your GP about this?

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

no

Dr Peter Bush :

There are a variety of reasons why wounds and cuts can take time to heal

Dr Peter Bush :
    • Diabetes mellitus
    • Low HGH (human growth hormone)
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Vascular or arterial diseases
  • Zinc deficiency
Dr Peter Bush :

You need to make an appointment to see your GP, so you can have the appropriate tests, to determine why your cuts are taking a long time to heal

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

would the burning sensation be relted?

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

related

Dr Peter Bush :

With regards to the burning sensation, this could be heartburn given the location.

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

ok I was concerned it could be a liver issue

Dr Peter Bush :

You will need a FBC (Full Blood Count), and also it may be worth asking your GP to refer you to the gastroentrology department at your local hospital. They can run an endoscopy and check to make sure everything is ok.

Dr Peter Bush :

Your GP will likely prescribe you with Omeprazole 20mg at first to see if this can relieve your burning sensation

JACUSTOMER-bzd1rd2f- :

ok

Dr Peter Bush :

If you could leave an excellent rate below so I can get credit for helping you this evening

Dr Peter Bush :

You can return at any time to ask for advice or further questions,

Dr Peter Bush :
