Hi ive had slightly elevated blood test results for last two

Customer Question

Hi ive had slightly elevated blood test results for last two months, I had kidney infection one month ago. Saw my gp raising my concerns of urinating less and horrendous lower back and abdomen pain. He did not examine me or give me any medication. He is not taking me serious. Why would my full blood count keep saying elevated and my gp not act upon it

Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

can you tell me the results of your blood testing?

JACUSTOMER-3zfejvcf- :

Dont know the exact reading, my gp didnt say. He just said test showed abnormalities

Dr. David :

I would get a copy of your blood test.

Dr. David :

I would be happy to review them without.

Dr. David :

without your actual blood testing, it is hard to tell what might be going on.

Dr. David :

slight dehydration can cause some blood counts to be elevated.

JACUSTOMER-3zfejvcf- :

Why would my gp not take action if tests keep coming back with abnormalities

Dr. David :

your slight "abnormalities" may not be real problems.

Dr. David :

sometimes normal blood work can be slightly outside of the "normal" range which is on the lab report

Dr. David :

not everyone falls in these "normal" ranges.

Dr. David :

so just because you are outside of this range does not mean anything is wrong.

JACUSTOMER-3zfejvcf- :

But if im urinating less and already had kidney infection, surely my gp should be looking into it more

Dr. David :

it depends on what the blood levels show.

Dr. David :

have you tried to drink more water.

Dr. David :

if you drink more water, I'm sure you will most likely urinate more.

Dr. David :

hello?
