This is Dr. David
I am sorry you are bruising after braces removal.
this is very common to have this
the bruising is from broken blood vessels in the gums which have lots of blood vessels there.
7 years is a long time.
have you gone back to the dentist to get dental xrays
have you got blood testing to check your platelet levels and clotting times?
Is there a way to treat it? It didnt go away or get better after 7 years. And I think it is on both sides of my gum.
you need more testing to find out what it is before treatment can be started.
No as I dont live in the same country that I got and removed my braces.
you need to see a dentist or doctor and get blood testing to check how well your blood is clotting.
I believe my clotting is alright as Ive recently had a test for that (for a cosmetic surgery)
you need to see a dentist and assess what that is in your gums, if it is a bruise or a fluid pocket or cyst.
then this might not be a bruise of your gum.
a bruise would not last for 7 years.
it might be a AV or arterial venous malformation of the gums.
you might need to see an oral surgeon or dentist to get the area evaluated.
you might need a biopsy to confirm what is there.
you are welcome
