Hello
welcome to just answer.com
May I know your age?
Do you have any comorbid diseases like Diabetes or Hypertension/
Sudden severe headache with dizziness can be because of few diseases:
1. Subarachnoid hemorrhage
2. Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis
3. Cervical artery dissection

sometimes it may be indicative of some other intra cranial pathology like hypertensive emergency or intra cranial tumor. Sometimes it might be a benign thing which is called primary thunderclap headache.
But it needs investigations. First thing to do is CT scan brain. If there is nothing then MRI/MRA(magnetic resonance angiography for arteries) and MRV (magnetic resonance venography for veins) should be done to look for other pathologies.
You must consult a neurologist for complete examination and further workup.
If you have any queries you are welcome....
