my son is on a high protein diet his meals consist off
breakfast = oats mixed with muscle mass ( PROTEIN REPLACEMENT) greek yoghurt
dinner = steamed chicXXXXX XXXXX rice 1 sweet potato
tea 5oz steak brown rice 1 sweet potato
snacks = protein bars 3 daily protein shakes 2 daily 2 sport drinks (max carb) 1/2 bananas 1/2 apples
maybe 4 fish fingers maybe 3/4 biscuits and drinks maybe 2/3 litres of water
he works out once a day for a hr 5 days per week
how bad is this diet as hes always cold and struggles at the toilet with the runs or blocked he is only 16 years old

OK--not a bad diet and it shouldn't be causing his symptoms. It sounds as though he may be low thyroid and I strongly suggest that a doctor check his thyroid function

adding up his protein intake with shakes protein replacement powder protein bars and food hes having over 100g per day and hes always cold 3shakes an 2 protein bars add up to 150g of protein surly this is harmful

It can be a strain on the kidneys. It still would be a good idea to have a doctor look at him and check out both the diet and this thyroid, liver, and kidney functions
