Resolved Question:

Hi
I've unprotected sex with my girlfriend & since both of us have been tested for everything but all negative.
I'm very stressed with work & divorce which has me worried about everything
But my penis has been tingling & red burning in the foreskin which has gone down the underside of my penis.
When I masterbate I gets worse, and aches inside as well.
The skin is very red & inflamed & slightly tight.

Dr. David :

This is Dr. David

Dr. David :

it sounds like you have an infection of your forskin.

Dr. David :

which is called posthitis

Dr. David :

and possible infection of the glands penis which is called balanitis

Dr. David :

you need to take a break from sex and masturbation since sex and masturbation can cause more irritation and inflammation

Dr. David :

and you need to wash with a gentle soap like Dove on a daily basis.

Dr. David :

you might even need a course of antibiotics if the infection is bad.

Dr. David :

does she have a vaginal fungal or bacterial infection?

Customer: No she's absolutely fine
Customer: i am stressed with lots of worries in my work life
Dr. David :

I see.

Dr. David :

stress doesn't help you heal

Customer: I've got kidney stones as well
Dr. David :

kidney stones would not affect your foreskin

Dr. David :

you really need to see a doctor to see if you need antibiotics for this infection.

Dr. David :

you could have a bladder infection as well.

Dr. David :

so it is best to see a doctor

Customer: Could this be Candida's ? The skin is really red & burning around the foreskin and under the shaft
Customer: Couple of days ago I wanted to urinate all the time after a drink
Dr. David :

you have already tried Caneston which has 1% clotrimazole in it which is a good antifungal

Dr. David :

if it was a fungal infection, caneston would have helped already.

Dr. David :

most likely not fungal infection.

Customer: my prostrate has been checked and that's fine too
Dr. David :

that is good.

Dr. David :

but prostate problems would not affect the foreskin and head of the penis.

Customer: What could this be ? Please help
Dr. David :

it could be a bacterial infection of the foreskin.

Dr. David :

you might need a course of antibiotics.

Dr. David :

and to abstain from sex and masturbation for a week or two.

Customer: Nothing serious
Dr. David :

no, it doesn't sound like an STD o

Dr. David :

or sexually transmitted disease.

Customer: I thought it was because of the burning feeling and was red, but as I've said I've been tested and all ok.
Customer: Could this be a UTI ? Been reading about that.
Dr. David :

could be a UTI

Dr. David :

or an infection of the foreskin.

Dr. David :

or a bacterial infection of the glands penis.

Customer: problem is that you read things and worry even more :-(
Customer: this helps talking to you though. Thanks
Dr. David :

you are welcome

best of luck to you.

forgot to mention yesterday that i need to wee all the time

Expert:  Dr. David replied 3 years ago.
excessive anxiety can cause a nervous bladder and cause you to urinate frequently.

once you get your anxiety under better control the urination issue can get better

My heath has suffered since my divorce, had major financial issues & ex wife took me to court when i nearly lost everything. I am depressed, i cry for the simpliest thing (mainly cos i miss my children) but i know i was very very close to a breakdown My head has always been strong, so this is putting me outside of my box.

you definitely need to see a doctor

and get started on medication, most likely an SSRI antidepressant medication which can help your depression and also help your anixety symptoms.
