Ask a Doctor and Get an Answer to Your Medical Question ASAP
This is Dr. David
yes, I think you should visit your GP as well.
you could have a bowel infection like clostridium difficile infection in your bowels
or a bowel allergy like allergy to glutten or lactose allergy
at age 63, you should be getting stool occult blood testing to check or blood in your stools
as well as a colonoscopy as well at your age.
have you had a colonoscopy before or your stools checked for blood?
yes had stool check was fine
that is good.
but you could still have a bowel infection
or irritable bowel syndrome or a bowel allergy.
so you should see your doctor to find out why you are having pains in your lower abdomen
are you having diarrhea at all?
you are welcome
that is good no diarrhea.
do you have other questions?
i never feel that my bowls are really empty
are you eating enough fiber in your diet?
more fiber can help you bulk up your stools and make them form formed.
also adding in yogurt and probiotics into your diet 2-3 times a day can help your bowel regularity as well.
diet is fine eat healthy foods only had this problem last few nmonths
drinking more water can help
and exercising can help your bowels work better as wel
walk dog every day and drink water
walking the dog is good,
but you need to walk at a brisk pace and get your heart rate up above 110-130beats per minute for 20-40 minutes 3-5 times a week.
most people don't do that when they walk their dog.
walking for exercises gets your body into an aerobic workout state where your heart is beating faster and pumping more blood through your body and getting more blood to your bowels to help them work better.
I dont think walking at a brisk pace at my age is going to solve problem
I'm just trying to help you as best as I can.
can I help you with any other questions?
I will go to my gp thanks anyway
best of luck to you
